Lincoln, NE
Looking for a professional, business to business sales career with a stable company? We are looking for the right person to join this 45 year-old, family-owned and operated wholesale lumber and building products distribution company as an Outside Sales Representative based out of our Lincoln NE branch, calling on customers in parts of Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri.
If you want to be part of a team that is a regional leader in its industry and have 2 or more years of wholesale building materials or 4 or more years of retail sales experience, then this is your opportunity.
*Qualifications*
- 2+ years of wholesale or 4+ years of retail lumber and/or building materials sales experience required – previous traveling sales experience preferred.
- Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and DMSI’s Agility OS is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must + the ability to build long-term relationships with customers and to close sales.
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a larger team with the drive to meet/exceed goals.
Due to the territory, the ideal candidate will live in the Lincoln/Omaha area.

2-4 Year College or Tech School Degree and construction experience are plusses.

Enjoy new challenges? Do you have 2+ years of wholesale or 4+ years of retail lumber and/or building materials buying experience? If so, we want to talk to you!
Our ideal candidate will be able to manage the procurement of multiple product lines, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong negotiation skills, and potentially make sales too.
Qualifications
- Computer experience with DMSI’s Agility OS is a plus, but not required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook email.
- Friendly, outgoing and flexible personality.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for building long-term relationships with external suppliers, internal team members.
- Ability to multitask, communicate effectively and willingness to take on new challenges.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Wholesale or 4+ years of retail Lumber and/or Building Materials Purchasing Experience.
- Sales Experience Helpful and Preferred.
Education
- 2 or 4 year College or Tech School degree preferred, but not required. Long-term building materials experience considered.
